WHY ISTANBUL MEDENIYET UNIVERSITY LAW FACULTY?

The learning method that our Faculty adopts is to have a limited number of undergraduate students and a great amount of practices and research. This method ensures that our students are better prepared for their legal career. Although the LL.B degree is mainly taught in Turkish, our Faculty highlights the importance of foreign language education. Most of our academicians are competent to teach in at least one foreign language. Two research centers, namely the Medical Law Research Unit and the Comparative Private Law Unit, were established within the scope of the Civilization Studies Center of our University. Our Law Faculty gives importance to conduct research in current developments and transferring these researches to the students in order to improve the quality of education. Our Law Faculty offers a variety of student clubs and societies that any of our students could participate. The student clubs and societies enable our students to take part in social life by organizing events such as visits to official institutions for instance the Constitutional Court and the Turkish Grand National Assembly, panels and conferences under the supervision of academic advisors. During career days, practitioners and students are brought together. Our Law Faculty cooperates with various universities in both Europe and Asia in education and training processes so that our students can graduate with having an international vision.
