Our third-year students Mücahit Yusuf TOPUZ, Hamza ALAN, and Rezan ZEKERİYA won second prize in the Moot Court Competition organized by the Oybirliği Association under the Faculty of Law at Marmara University.
Among the petitions prepared by the competing teams regarding a hypothetical private law dispute, the petitions submitted by our faculty’s students qualified for the quarter-finals following the evaluations of the commission.
During the oral defense stage held on May 3rd, our students advanced successfully through the quarter and semi-final rounds based on the scores given by a jury composed of expert professors and practicing lawyers.
The final stage, designed as a hypothetical criminal case, was held on May 10th at Marmara University Faculty of Law.
Our students outperformed the teams from all other universities to reach the final and narrowly missed first place by just two points and secured second place, earning a cash prize of 60,000 TL.
