“The Writing Process and Exemplary Life” Talk Was Held

The event titled “Authorship Process and Exemplary Life” organized by Istanbul Civilization University Islamic Law Studies Club (MİSHAK) within the framework of the “Compass” project carried out within the scope of the ÜNİDES program of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Youth and Sports was held on April 18, 2025 in the Red Hall of the Central Classroom Building.

The guest of the event, Author Elif Yüceer, had a heartfelt and sincere conversation with the participants about her writing adventure, personal development and spiritual journey. Yüceer touched on some of the difficulties encountered in the writing process and gave ideas and inspiration with examples from her own life on how these difficulties can be overcome with patience, perseverance and faith.

Yüceer gave information on the necessary steps for those who want to step into writing, the process of writing and publishing a book, the differences between academic writing and fiction writing, and had a conversation about spiritual balance, exemplary living and stance for young people.

The author shared sections from his own life story in his speech, touching on important topics such as how to overcome the difficulties encountered, and the place of patience and perseverance in this process. In the narration enriched with quotes from Mesnevi, Gazali and Yunus Emre, the short story shared on “The Story of Ney and Man” left a literary and spiritual impact on the audience. In addition, the transience of negativities and ways to make the right decisions at turning points in life were among the prominent topics.

The event, which took place in a friendly and sincere atmosphere, created an interactive environment with the questions and ideas of the participants. At the end of the event, the author signed his book "Ezan Çiçeği" specially for the participants and presented it as a gift. The program ended with the MİSHAK team thanking the author.

After the program, the author and participants chatted with refreshments and concluded the event in a friendly atmosphere. The talk was a productive event that helped the participants gain an in-depth perspective on the writing process and spiritual development, while also paving the way for the development of literary interests and personal awareness.
